Hand Smocked Whole Bodice High Yoke White Silk Dress Sizes 1 thru 8 - Paula

This beautiful dress is appropriate for Special Church days*, Easter Sunday, Christmas, ‘her’ birthday and any other ‘very special occasion’.
Uniquely designed, this white dress is made of 100% pure silk fabric. The classic lines of this dress enhance special occasions. The bodice is hand smocked with 5 roses made of two (2) bullions stitches using DMC© cotton floss #604, eight (8) wraps, five bullions # 3713 wraps and outside eight (8) bullion stitches #3713; 12 wraps. There are 10 rosebuds; two (2) aside each rose made of one center bullion #604 eight (8) wraps and four bullion stitches using DMC© cotton floss #3713; 10 wraps. The roses and rosebuds are enhanced with hand stitched leaves using lazy daisy stitches, two (2) strands of DMC© cotton floss #369, that highlights the middle of the yoke.
The puffed sleeves are cuffed, the Peter Pan collar has a self-fabric piping. The skirt has been enhanced with a white pure silk ribbon band and two (2) pintucks around the hem.
The back yoke is plain, fastens with three (3) Dill© white hand sewn buttons (an extra button is included, ‘just in case’), a sash tie, and a placket having a length of approximately 4.5 “, making the dress easy to put on and take off. The side seams of the dress are French seams. The dress is lined with an underlay of 100% rayon for comfort, with French side seams for strength.
The hand-washable pre-shrunk dress is beautiful, comfortable, and functional. It has been lovingly crafted by an experienced seamstress from Colombia who designed it so it would look good on her Granddaughter or your Special Little Angel.
