Embroidered Victorian Christening Gown - Luke

This beautiful gown is delicately embroidered and has 12 fine tucks at the shoulders and neckline. A generous pleat at the top of each side seam gives fullness to the gown.

This size 4 months christening gown is approximately 28 ½ inches long and approximately 9 ¼ inches shoulder to shoulder.

Uniquely designed, this white gown is made of the finest quality 100% cotton Spechler Vogel 100% white Swiss Super Fine cotton batiste fabric.

The front is embellished with a white machine embroidered cross. In addition, the collar is embellished with a 3/8” wide white bias band along the edge. The lower edge of the gown is hand finished with a narrow hem.

The back has 12 fine tucks 12 fine tucks at the shoulders and neckline to match the front. A placket adds for comfort and easy to put on and take off. The back fastens with three (3) white Dill® buttons (an extra button is included, ‘just in case’).

The construction of the sleeves includes a matching bias band at the lower edge of the sleeves.

French seams have been used at the shoulders and the sides for durability and comfort.

The gown comes with a white petticoat, approximately 26 ½ inches from shoulder to hem, made using of Spechler Vogel 100% white Pima cotton batiste for comfort with French side seams for strength and fastens at the back with one white Dill® button. A placket adds for comfort and easy to put on and take off. The hem, neckline, and armcye have been finished by hand.

A matching bonnet/cap, 12 inches from earlobe to earlobe, is made of the finest quality 100% cotton Spechler Vogel 100% white Swiss Super Fine cotton batiste fabric. The bonnet/cap featuring a 2 ¾ inches crown is embellished with three (3) matching fine pintucks and ties with ¼ inch white pure silk ribbon.

The machine washable pre-shrunk christening gown is beautiful, comfortable, and functional. It has been lovingly crafted by an experienced seamstress from Colombia.
