This beautiful dress is appropriate for Special Church days, Easter Sunday, Christmas, ‘her’ birthday and any other ‘very special occasion’.
Uniquely designed, this blue dress is made of Corduroy 100% cotton fabric. The classic lines of this dress enhance special occasions. The bodice is smocked and enhanced with two (2) rows of flowers. Each flower has four (4) petals, and each petal is made of three (3) bullion knots and finished with fly stitches at the tip of each petal. The center of the flower is made of three (3) French knots. The leaves are made with two (2) bullion knots. Colonial knots are scattered around the second row of flowers.
The puffed sleeves of this dress are cuffed using a bias band and the dress has a Peter Pan collar. The skirt is approximately 2.4 yards wide.
The back yoke is plain, fastens with three (3) self fabric covered hand sewn buttons (an extra button is included, ‘just in case’), a sash tie, and a placket having a length of approximately 4.5 “ which makes for easy put on take off. The side seams of the dress are French seams. The dress is lined with an underlay of white Spechler Vogel 100% Pima cotton batiste for comfort with French side seams for strength.
The machine washable pre-shrunk dress is beautiful, comfortable, and functional. It has been lovingly crafted by an experienced seamstress from Colombia who designed it so it would look good on her Granddaughter or your Special Little Angel.
