Smocked Bodice Dress – Sizes 1 thru 8 - Frances

This beautiful dress is appropriate for Special Church days, a Wedding Flower Girl, Easter Sunday, Christmas, ‘her’ birthday and any other ‘very special occasion’.

Uniquely designed, this light yellow dress is made of the finest quality Spechler Vogel 100% cotton Nelona fabric. The classic lines of this dress enhance special occasions.

The bodice is hand smocked using two (2) strands of Anchor Merlitt© rayon #1212. The embroidery on the bodice consists of 15 bullion knots roses and green leaves using the detached chain stitch. The skirt is approximately 3 yards wide and the hem is enhanced with four (4) bands of French lace and light yellow pure silk ribbon. The French lace consists of two (2) bands of edging lace, one (1) band of beading lace, and one (1) band of edging. The back yoke is plain, features a self-fabric piping, and an approximately 4 ½ inches long placket to make it easy to put on and remove. The back yoke fastens with four (4) mother-of-pearl buttons (an extra button is included, ‘just in case’).

The short sleeves are finished with French edging lace that matches the lace at the hem. The collar is embellished with self-fabric piping along the edges of the collar.

The bodice and skirt of the dress dress are lined with an underlay of Spechler Vogel 100% light yellow Pima cotton batiste for comfort with French side seams for strength. The sleeves are lined with white silk Organza.

The machine washable dress is beautiful, comfortable, and functional. It has been lovingly crafted by an experienced seamstress from Colombia who designed it so it would look good on her Granddaughter or your Special Little Angel.

This dress is available in white for First Communion.

Due to availability of lace patterns exact laces as shown in the picture cannot be guaranteed. Similar laces may be substituted.
