Embroidered Christening Gown - Joann

This beautiful christening gown is delicate embroidered and enhanced with 12 fine tucks at the shoulders and neckline. A generous pleat at the top of each side seam gives fullness to the gown.

This size 4 months gown is approximately 25 ¾ inches long, approximately 10 ¼ inches shoulder to shoulder, and the skirt is approximately 2.4 yards wide.

This white gown is uniquely designed from the finest quality 100% cotton Spechler Vogel® 100% white Swiss Super Fine cotton batiste fabric.

The front is embellished with a white flowers motive designed by Bumba Bella and precision machine embroidered. In addition, the collar is enhanced by a 3/8" wide white bias band along the edge and finished using tatting. The lower edge of the gown is finished with a ruffle band with insertion tatting and edging tatting.

The back has 12 fine tucks at the shoulders and neckline to match the front. A placket adds comfort and makes the gown easy to put on and remove. The back fastens with three (3) white Dill® buttons (an extra button is included, 'just in case').

The construction of the sleeves includes matching bias bands at the lower edge of the sleeves and is finished with tatting edging.

French seams have been used at the shoulders and the sides for elegance, durability and comfort.

The gown comes with a white petticoat, approximately 23" from shoulder to hem. The comfortable petticoat is made of Spechler Vogel 100% white Pima cotton batiste, with French side seams for strength, and fastens at the back with three (3) one white Dill® buttons. A placket adds comfort and allows easy put on and remove. The hem, neckline, and armcye have been finished using tatting edging.

A matching bonnet/cap, 12 inches from earlobe to earlobe, is made of the finest quality 100% cotton Spechler Vogel 100% white Swiss Super Fine cotton batiste fabric. This self fabric lined bonnet/cap featuring a 2 ¾ crown is embellished with matching embroidering, six (6) matching fine pintucks, tatting edging, and ties with a 22 inch long by ¼ inch wide white pure silk ribbon.

The machine washable pre-shrunk christening gown is beautiful, comfortable, and functional. It has been lovingly crafted by an experienced seamstress from Colombia.

Due to availability of lace patterns exact laces as shown in the picture cannot be guaranteed. Similar laces may be substituted.
