Hand Smocked -First Communion – Lila

This beautiful dress appropriate for First Communion is made of 100% silk handloomed fabric. The classic lines of this dress enhance special occasions. The bodice is hand smocked using Finca™ white thread and highlighted with bullion knots made using DMC™ white Floche Thread.

The lower edge of the skirt is embellished with four (4) pintucks and pure silk white ribbon.

The back yoke is plain, fastens with four (4) hand sewn mother-of-pearl buttons (an extra button is included, ‘just in case’), a sash tie, and a placket which makes for easy put on take off. The puffed short sleeves have been finished with a cuff and mini piping that matches the Peter Pan collar finish. The side seams of the dress are French seams and the hem has been hand sewn. The dress is lined with an underlay of Bemberg Ambiance 100% white rayon for comfort with French side seams for strength.

The machine washable pre-shrunk dress is beautiful, comfortable, and functional. It has been lovingly crafted by an experienced seamstress from Colombia who designed it so it would look good on her Granddaughter or your Special Little Angel.
