Uniquely designed, this dress is made of the finest quality 100% cotton batiste fabric**. The classic lines of this dress enhance special occasions. The bodice is hand smocked using DMC© white cotton floss, embellished with seven (7) blue flowers. These forget me not flowers are made of five (5) 14 wrap bullion stitches each using Anchor™ Marlitt thread 1009 and two (2) leaves made of lazy daisy stitches using Anchor™ Marlitt thread 1052. The center of the flower is a French knot made using Anchor© cotton floss 288. The smocked is embellished also with green and blue stitches using DMC© cotton floss 996 and 825 respectively.
The lower edge of the skirt is embellished with two (2) pintucks and white silk ribbon.
The back yoke is plain, fastens with three (3) buttons (an extra button is included, ‘just in case’), a sash tie, and a placket having a length of approximately 4.5 “. The dress lined with an underlay of 100% cotton** for comfort. This dress has a hand made crocheted white frilled along the short sleeve made with Finca© blanc perle Egyptian cotton # 16 and a bias band along the collar.
The machine washable dress is beautiful, comfortable, and functional. It has been lovingly crafted by an experienced seamstress from Colombia who designed it so it would look good on her Granddaughter or your Special Little Angel.
