This light yellow dress is made of 100% Swiss Nelona cotton fabric**. The classic lines of this dress enhance special occasions.
The front bodice is hand smocked using Merlitt© color #1212 rayon thread. The lower edge of the yoke has been enhanced with 16 rose buds made using bullion stitches and Merlitt© #1019, #1213 rayon thread. Each of the rose buds has four (4) leaves each made using lazy daisy stitches and Merlitt© #30504 rayon thread.
The armscyes and the jewel neckline have been finished with self-fabric mini piping.
The circumference of the skirt is approximately 2.4 yards and 3 yards, depending on size, and the lower edge has been enhanced with a ¾ inch wide lace insertion attached to the skirt using entredeaux on each side.
The back yoke is plain and fastens with four (4) mother of pearl buttons (an extra button is included, ‘just in case’) and a sash tie. A placket having a length of approximately 4.5 “ makes the dress easy to put on and take off. The side seams of the dress are French seams.
The dress is fully lined with an underlay of 100% Spechler Vogel Pima cotton** for comfort, with French side seams for strength. The liner is enhanced with two (2) tacks at the hem.
The machine-washable pre-shrunk dress is beautiful, comfortable, and functional. It has been lovingly crafted by an experienced seamstresses from Colombia who designed it so it would look good on her Granddaughter or your Special Little Angel.
*This dress is also available in white, with or without the lace jacket, for First Communion and other very special occasions.
Due to availability of lace patterns exact laces as shown in the picture cannot be guaranteed. Similar laces may be substituted.
