Uniquely designed, this blue and white dress is made of the finest quality 100% cotton Spechler Vogel blue Nelona and Spechler Vogel 100% white Swiss Super Fine cotton batiste fabric**. The classic lines of this dress enhance special occasions.
The white lined collar is hand embroidered using DMC© blanc cotton floss, embellished with 11 pink rose buds. Each rose bud is made of two (2) center bullion stitches of six (6) wraps each made using DMC© cotton floss #604 and eight (8) bullion stitches of 12 wraps each using DMC© cotton floss #3713. There are 14 matching rosebuds made of three (3) bullion stitches each. There are 12 forget-me-not flowers made of five (5) Mill Hill© blue glass beads #007 around one (1) Mill Hill© yellow glass bead #2002 attached to the rose vine with a stem and leaves made using DMC© cotton floss #368. The roses and rosebuds are attached to the rose vine through stems made using DMC© cotton floss #369. The rose vine is enhanced with leaves made of lazy daisy stitch using DMC© cotton floss #369. The collar is embellished with a hand made frill crocheted using Finca #16 blanc perle cotton on entredeux along the edges and gathered lace.
The lower edge of the yoke is embellished with entredeux and crochet matching the collar. The skirt is embellished with two (2) pintucks and 100 % pure silk white ribbon around the lower edge.
The back yoke is plain, fastens with three (3) Dill© buttons (an extra button is included, ‘just in case’). The construction of the short puffed sleeves includes a sleeve booster. A 30" long sash ties at the back.
The dress is lined with an underlay of Spechler Vogel 100% blue Pima cotton batiste** for comfort with French side seams for strength.
The machine washable dress is beautiful, comfortable, and functional. It has been lovingly crafted by an experienced seamstresses from Colombia who designed it so it would look good on her Granddaughter or your Special Little Angel.
*Available in white for First Communion.
**Available in silk lined with rayon.
Due to availability of lace patterns exact laces as shown in the picture cannot be guaranteed. Similar laces may be substituted.
