Uniquely designed, the yoke of this dress is slightly high, and the dress is offered in an array of colors; among them red, blue, pink, yellow, purple, and green; of Gingham poly/cotton blend fabric. In addition to the choice of colors, this dress may be chosen in two (2) different lace patterns as shown. The classic lines of this dress enhance special occasions. The bodice is hand drawn worked using white thread enhanced with a total of five (5) bands of drawn work lace.
The dress skirt has been enhanced with a band of drawn work lace around the hem matching the yoke and its circumference is approximately 62 inches. The puffy sleeves lined with white silk organza; which help to keep the shape; and have been cuffed using a self fabric bias band which matches the band around the neckline.
The back yoke is plain, fastens with four (4) mother-of-pearl hand sewn buttons (an extra button is included, ‘just in case’), and a placket having a length of approximately 4 1/2“, which makes it easy to put-on and take-off.
The side seams of the yoke and the back seam of the skirt are French seams and the hem has been hand sewn. The yoke is self-fabric lined and the skirt is lined with an underlay of white Spechler Vogel© cotton fabric for comfort with French side seams for strength.
The machine washable, pre-shrunk, perma-press dress is beautiful, comfortable, and functional.
