Our pleater was modified for us by a machinist, to allow the use of more needles.

notice that the cloth to be pleated has been rolled on a metal tube. Also notice the white plastic rod resting on the cloth. The rod helps us control the tension on the cloth so it feeds more evenly.

Too much material build up on the needles will cause needles to break! Keep pulling the cloth off the needles.

remove pleated cloth from needles
Remove from pleater. Be sure and leave enough extra thread on each end so that the threads do NOT pull out of the cloth when you flatten it.
