The neck edge has been finished using French lace edging in a double ruffle. The brim is accented with pintucks, lace insertion, and lace edging around the edge.
The body of the bonnet features three (3) folded pintucks and a band of matching insertion lace.
The crown features two (2) folded pintucks on each side of a centered band of French cotton insertion lace and has been attached to the body of the bonnet using matching French edging lace.
The bonnet is enhanced with two (2) rosettes; one rosette on each side of the bonnet and ties under the chin with 1” wide double sided pure silk ribbon, or self-fabric bands having a length of approximately 46 cm (14.5”) and 5 cm (2”) wide.
Due to availability of lace patterns exact laces as shown in the picture cannot be guaranteed. Similar laces may be substituted.
We strongly recommend that the bonnet be hand washed and hang to dry using paper towels inside to keep the shape of the bonnet. Do not wring dry. While still slightly wet spray starch and touch up lightly with warm iron.
